Our project is born from the love for this territory and for its people, that is why one of our commitments is to give a priority place to Costa Rican people within all our activities, programs and experiences.
We are filled with joy to announce that, starting in 2026, we will offer a 50% discount for Costa Rican people who wish to visit us.
This benefit applies to all our programs and services.
IMMERSIVE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
At Finca Las Hormigas we offer educational programs designed to transform the way in which each person relates to the earth. Our long-term processes, such as Volunteering and Work & Learn, combine practical learning, conscious work and a deep connection with nature.
Those who participate live the regeneration from the inside: organic agriculture, applied permaculture, bioconstruction, integral well-being and living in community. They are experiences that not only teach new skills, but also strengthen purpose and personal vision.
If you want to join our Volunteering or Work & Learn, simply complete the form of the program that interests you and upload a photo of your ID. As soon as we confirm your nationality, we will automatically apply the discounted price.
TRAVEL RESPONSIBLY AND REGENERATIVELY
We are a responsible and regenerative travel option, designed for those seeking experiences that care for nature, culture, and local communities. In our project, we understand that traveling has the power to transform both the visitor and the place they visit.
That is why we work under two fundamental principles:
Responsible Travel
It means making decisions that respect communities, honor cultures, and protect ecosystems. Each visitor is part of the social and environmental fabric of the place, and we seek for their presence to generate support, not pressure.
Regenerative Travel
It goes beyond minimizing impact: it bets on restoring, renewing, and healing. Every action on the farm—from how we cultivate to how we receive guests—is thought out to strengthen soil health, biodiversity, and community well-being.
These principles do not stay in theory; they live in real actions that connect our community with the earth:

We collaborate with the Bribri indigenous people, who lead traditional cacao ceremonies and share their wisdom.

We receive students from nearby technical high schools so they can learn regeneration through experience.

We donate plants, trees, fertilizers, and soil to the Gandoca school to support their environmental education.

We buy what we do not produce within the farm from small entrepreneurial families in our neighboring town, strengthening the local economy.
ECOLODGING & ACCOMMODATION
At Finca Las Hormigas we believe that rest can also be regenerative. Our accommodation spaces are designed to offer comfort surrounded by nature, maintaining sustainable practices in every detail. We have ecolodges, private bungalows, and shared rooms, all built with natural materials and bioclimatic design, integrated organically into the landscape.
The energy comes from the sun, water is managed responsibly, and the food is fresh, healthy, and based on products from the farm. As a guest, you will have access to our common areas, trails, rest areas, meditation spaces, and the unique tranquility offered by the Caribbean mountain.
DISCOVER THE FARM ON A TOUR
Our Tour is one of the most beloved experiences, both by visitors and by students and volunteers.
During the tour, you will get to know the regenerative systems that sustain our daily life: agroforestry, composting, water management, organic crops, bioconstruction, and the permaculture philosophy that guides the entire project.
It is an interactive walk where you will be able to learn, ask, feel the forest, taste seasonal fruits, and understand how a farm managed with regenerative principles works.
This tour is available for national and international visitors, with a 50% automatic discount for all Costa Rican people who present their ID.
